6th Korean Prime Minister Cup is over

ron-laviThe 6th Korean Prime Minister Cup was held in the 20-25/10/2011 in Pohang city, Korea.
Representatives from 70 countries took part.

The Israeli representative was Ron Lavi, who finished in 42nd place.

1st place was the Chinese representative zijian Chen, who won all games.

2nd place was the Korean representative Byung Yong You, who lost only to 1st place.

Israeli Go Championship 2011 - event report

Ali-smallThe Israeli Go Championship 2011 was held on the 13-15 Oct 2011. 25 players took part in the event.
1st place, and the title of Israeli Go champion 2011 goes to Ali Jabarin.
2nd place: Ron Lavi.
3rd:Jonathan Lidoor, who just recently returned from a 2 year stay in Korea.
The title of Israeli youth Go champion goes to Tal Michaeli. Youth runner up is Reem Ben David.

Israeli Go Championship 2010

Date: 11th to 13th Nov 2010

Place: Japanese embassy, Berkovitch st. 4, Tel Aviv.

Schedule: 6 rounds, 3 hours each round.

Thursday: registration + 1st roud - 17:00 - 21:00
Friday: rounds 2-4 - 9:00 - 19:00
Saturday: rounds 5-6 + closing ceremony - 9:00 - 19:00

Time control: 1 hour + 15 moves / 5 minutes.

Israeli Go Championship 2011

The Israeli Go Championship will take place on the 13-15/10/2011 at the korean culture center, Ben Yehuda st. 2, Jerusalem.

Schedule:

6 rounds. 1 hour + 15 moves / 5 minutes each.

Several Go related activities are planned in between the rounds.

World Amateur Go Championship 2011

 

The World Amateur Go Championship 2011 was held in May 29th to Jun 1st in the Shimane prefecture, Japan.

57 countries took place in the event.

The winner is Bai Baoxiang of China, who won the event with a clean sweep - winning all 8 rounds.

Jonathan Lidor was the Israeli representative, finishing in 20th place with 5 out of 8.
