Israeli Go Association
It is the mission of the Israeli Go Association to promote Go, knowledge of the game, it's various aspects and improve the skills and rank of israeli players.
A growing list of Go clubs with regular and extra meeting schedule provides the opportunity for Go players to meet, play, learn the game and join the growing community.
As the national association, the IGA maintains contacts with other Go associations around the world, and encourages players to take part in international tournaments and championships.
Each year, representatives are sent to participate in tournaments around the world. Among these tournaments is the World Amateur Go Championship, in which 60 countries participate each year.
Israel has already reached 13th place in that tournament.
Our most notable international achievement is Ali Jabarin's winning the European Youth Championship in 2009.
In 2005 we participated for the first time in the European Team Go Championship and have reached the 10th place overall.
